Based in Rockbridge County, Virginia, The Community Dance Connection Theatre was founded in 2003 by Nancy Saylor, and is independently incorporated as a tax-exempt, 501(c)(3) performing arts organization.
Central to the mission of The CDCT is a desire to form vibrant links within our community by uniting individuals in cross-generational collaborations of purposeful artistic expression.
Through educational outreaches and concert performances, The CDCT specializes in creating original works while offering training and performance opportunities for dancers and theatre artists of every age and type: young and old, male and female, beginners and professionals.
There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all of time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and it will be lost. The world will not have it. It is not your business to determine how good it is nor how valuable nor how it compares with other expressions. It is your business to keep it yours clearly and directly, to keep the channel open.
